
Jackie started out as a developer during Web 1.0 - her career meandered from there to design, to multimedia development and ultimately to strategy. She is a fan of travel, music of all kinds and cheeseburgers.
In 1998, Jackie founded Pixelcommotion, an interactive design firm that specialized in multimedia presentations, website design, animation and digital video post production.
In January of 2001 Jackie co-founded Heavybag Media, an interactive marketing firm. She develops marketing strategies that utilize social tools, community platforms, traditional and non-traditional media and technology in order to enable brands to engage their audience on a meaningful level.
Through Heavybag Media, Jackie also partnered with and incubated Internet and mobile startup, Robotube Games in 2003, which produces casual online and mobile games.
She has been featured in several print and online publications including Fortune Small Business, The LA Weekly's 2009 People Issue, Mashable and The Huffington Post. And has been a speaker at The Real Time Social Summit, NextWeb NY, Social Media Club events and NAB East.
In addition to her role at Heavybag Media, Jackie is a member of the Board of Directors for the Social Media Club and Director of the LA Chapter of the Social Media Club. Jackie was selected as a judge at the Twiistup 5 startup competition in Los Angeles, is a member of the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) and recipient of several industry awards including W3 and Ad Club awards.
